Penis Enhancement
Since the dawn of man there has been a bit of an obsession going on about the size of a man's penis. A lot of attention has been focused on this issue and some men may harbor insecurities about the size of their own penis. An entire industry has emerged based on the premise that most men are insecure about their penis size, and theses companies play on these fears by offering up many different pills and potions and pumps that are guaranteed to give a man more length and girth. Somehow they think that just increasing the size will make them a better lover, when in fact, while size in this area does matter to some extent, it's the way that they use what they have been born with is what makes men the best lover they can be.
A quick glance at anyone's inbox might find spam emails from these penis enhancement quacks who promise to add a specific amount of length, etc., and there are millions of web sites where men can purchase any number of products with penis enhancing promises and try them at home. Unfortunately, many are sorely disappointed in the lack of results.
There has been no scientific research to support any of these non-surgical remedies that promise to enlarge the penis. The only way to actually make the penis longer and wider is through cosmetic surgery. So, naturally, many men opt to try some of the non-surgical methods first before going under the knife. Because this is such an incredibly sensitive area of the anatomy, a surgeon would need to have extraordinary skill in being able perform surgery without damaging the penis and even cause impotence. Men have to ask themselves if they feel it is really worth the risk to try a surgical procedure that is not endorsed by any medical society when it is done simply for cosmetic reasons.
There are several non-surgical methods of penis enhancement that fall into the basic categories of stretching or squeezing the penis, which can cause scars or permanent disfigurement, stretching with weights, lotions, pills, and vacuum pumps which can eventually damage penis tissue leading to less firm erections.
Although there are many cosmetic surgeons who perform penis enhancement procedures, the American Urological Association, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, and other medical societies have issued statements warning against surgically altering the penis simply for cosmetic reasons.
